What is BOI?

Board of investment of Thailand is a government agency under office of prime minister introduced in 1977 with promulgation of investment promotion act. Board of investment of Thailand aims to promote and attract valuable investment in Thailand to enhance Thailand’s global competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth in accordance with sufficiency economy philosophy. 

Thailand Board of Investment has introduced certain criteria for business projects who wishes to apply for incentives and privileges. Granting of these incentives and privileges depends on whether the business project falls under prioritized business as prescribed by Board of investment or not.
BOI priority sector are the agricultural, industrial and service sectors and these are further specified into sub sectors under each sector of the businesses that can apply for BOI registration.
