Business purpose:
You can apply Non-Immigrant Business visa to enter Thailand for the purpose of negotiation or conducting business or to join training or seminar organized by private company. Foreign nationals who intend to visit Thailand for business purpose may apply for
- 90 days single entry visa
- 1-year multiple entry visa
- 3-year multiple entry visa
List of documents required for each time period depends embassy or consulate general office’s policy. However, required document to be submitted include but not limited to
- Passport or travel document with a validity of not less than 6 months
- Completed application form.
- Recent passport-sized photograph (4 x 6 cm) photograph of the applicant taken within the past 6months.
- Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family) for the duration of stay in Thailand
- Letter from the applicant’s company indicating the applicant’s position, length of employment, salary and purpose of visit(s) to Thailand.
- Documents showing correspondence with business partners in Thailand.
- Evidence of financial status in the case where the applicant is self-employed.
- Letter of invitation from trading or associated partners/companies in Thailand.
- Corporate documents of associated partners/companies in Thailand such as:
- business registration and business license
- list of shareholders
- company profile
- details of business operation
- map indicating location of the company
- balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por
Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30) of the latest year - value-added tax registration (Por Por 20)
- Copies of company documents must be signed by the Board of Directors or authorized managing director and affix seal of company.
- Additional documents may be requested as and when necessary. In the absence of a required document, applicant must provide a letter explaining the unavailability of such document.
Maximum of 90 days stay is permitted per time. In case you an applicant have acquired 1 year or 3-year visa from embassy or consulate general office then the applicant will have to go out of Thailand every 90 days and come back. An applicant should not forget to get reentry permit before leaving the country. It is highly recommended to apply for multiple reentry permit once landed in Thailand at immigration office or at the reentry country at the airport while exiting the country
The application for the 3 years Non-Immigrant business visa is to be submitted to Royal Thai embassy or Royal Thai consulate general office in applicant’s home country or country of residence. However, Royal Thai consulate general office is not authorized to issue 3 years Non-Immigrant Business Visa. Thus, it is highly recommended to check with the before you apply for 3 years visa to make the process easy and fast.
Employment purpose:
An applicant who wish to come to Thailand for work purpose are issued with 90 days Non-Immigrant Business Visa. A foreigner who receives Non-Immigrant business Visa can work in Thailand only after he/she has been granted work permit in Thailand.
Required document to be submitted include but not limited:
- Passport or travel document with validity of not less than 6 months.
– Completed visa application form. - Recent passport-sized photograph (4 x 6 cm) of the applicant taken within the past 6 months.
- Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family).
- Letter of approval from the Ministry of Labor. To obtain this letter, the applicant’s prospective employer in Thailand is required to submit Form WP3 at the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor. Applicant holding Japanese passport are exempt from submitting WP3 following JTEPA agreement between two countries.
- Copy of Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Labor and alien income tax or Por Ngor Dor 91 (only in the case where applicant has previously worked in Thailand).
- Corporate documents of hiring company in Thailand such as
- business registration and business license
- 2) list of shareholders
- 3) company profile
- 4) details of business operation
- 5) list of foreign workers stating names, nationalities and positions
- 6) map indicating location of the company
- 7) balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30 of the latest year)
- value-added tax registration (Por Por 20)
- Document indicating the number of foreign tourists (for tourism business only), or document indicating export transactions issued by banks (for export business only).
It is recommended that the applicant should apply for visa at the Thai Embassy/ Consulate in the country where he/she has the residence. Holder of this type of visa is entitled to stay in Thailand for a maximum period of 90 days. He or she may apply for an extension of stay at the Office of the Immigration Bureau and may be granted such extension for a period of one year from the date of first entry into Thailand.
While doing extension process please make sure that your passport validity is not less than 6 months. Depending on case to case basis the immigration might grant visa for up the passport validity period if the passport validity has less than 6 months remained.
